I’ve visited the Catacombs of Paris for the first time, after passing by the place hundreds of times, place d’Enfer [Hell Square, currently place Denfert, a last name which has the same pronunciation].
It’s spectacular.
The personnel was doing renovations on a temporarily closed-off area. With these bone-filled shopping bags lying around, it looked like you’d stepped backstage; it was less spectacular, all of a sudden.
